Q. Physiotherapy: What Does it Mean?

The treatment used to help a person with pain relief, healing, and the rehabilitation of many surgical or medical conditions is known as physiotherapy. Regardless if you have experienced muscle, nerve, or joint issues that resulted from a disability, injury, or illness, physiotherapy is an appropriate form of treatment.

The techniques used by a physiotherapist involve various ranges of hands-on, physical techniques. In addition to the manual treatment, a physiotherapist will give you advice on what lifestyle changes you should make in order to reduce any further joint and muscle problems. Sometimes exercise programs will be suggested by a physiotherapist; exercise can help you cope with some chronic conditions. Depending on your situation, a physiotherapist may refer you to a specialist, such as a rheumatologist, an orthopedic surgeon, or a pain specialist.
